Shisha pipes

In recent decades, shisha has become increasingly popular worldwide, particularly among young adults. This popularity has been fueled by globalization, cultural exchanges, and tourism, which have allowed the practice of shisha to spread to new regions of the world. With the growing popularity of shisha, diversified ranges of shisha-related products have emerged, including a variety of flavored tobaccos, decorative hookah accessories, and tobacco-free herbal blends to meet the increasing demand for non-tobacco versions. Shisha has become an important element of social culture in many regions, especially among young adults.

    How to prepare a shisha?

    Equipment Needed:

    • Shisha: This is the main apparatus which includes a water base, a hose, and a bowl where the tobacco is placed.
    • Shisha Tobacco: You can choose from a variety of flavors and brands available in the market.
    • Shisha Charcoal: Use charcoals specially made for shisha, typically self-lighting charcoals.
    • Aluminum foil or a heat management device: To cover the bowl and retain heat.

    Preparation Steps:

    1. Prepare the Base: Fill the shisha base with water. Make sure the water level is sufficient to submerge the downstem by at least 2 to 3 centimeters. Too much water can cause difficult suction, while too little can reduce smoke filtration.
    2. Prepare the Tobacco: Take your chosen shisha flavours and fill the bowl of the shisha with it. Make sure not to pack it too tightly to allow air to flow through.
    3. Prepare the Charcoals: Light the shisha charcoals until they become glowing red. This may take a few minutes. Ensure the charcoals are fully lit and evenly hot.
    4. Cover the Bowl: Place a sheet of aluminum foil over the tobacco-filled bowl. Poke a few small holes in the aluminum foil using a pin or a skewer to allow heat to penetrate the tobacco.
    5. Place the Charcoals: Arrange the lit charcoals on top of the aluminum foil or heat management device. Make sure not to place the charcoals directly in contact with the tobacco to avoid burning it.
    6. Wait and Enjoy: Let the shisha sit for a few minutes to allow the tobacco to heat up and smoke to form. Then, start gently inhaling through the hose and enjoy the flavored smoke.
