How do you make a lot of smoke with a shisha?

There are many different ways to enjoy hookah. These vary according to individual personalities and preferences. Some people have their own way of smoking shisha. We can also count a large number of smokers who are fascinated by the volume of smoke that a shisha can produce, and this is one of the factors that is essential to the success of your sessions. El-badia offers you two methods for making a thick smoke with your chicha.

Number 8 method

The number 8 method can be used by anyone as it is quick and very effective. If you want to have a large mass of smoke during your sessions, fill your hearth properly. Lay out your aluminium foil and make sure that the surface of your firebox is flat. Make sure you have two coals, preferably self-igniting coals. Place them on the firebox and push them together. Now make holes around the two coals that you have brought together, which make up the number 8.

Then remove the two coals and make holes inside your number 8, which you will see thanks to the contours you made beforehand. Finally, light your two charcoals and place them on half of each loop to make your number 8. That's it! You can start your session with a very dense, impenetrable smoke.

Other tips for making a big smoke

We've picked out a few tips to show you that making a big smoke with your chicha isn't as complicated as you might think.
In fact, we're going to suggest a few little tricks that you can choose from according to your personal tastes and preferences.

1. Ice cubes:

This trick involves inserting ice cubes into the water in your shisha vase. When the water becomes cool, it will give more space to the smoke, which in turn will be thicker and more abundant. Finally, make sure there are plenty of ice cubes in your vase so that the water cools down as much as possible, which will add thickness to your smoke.

2. Alternate coals:

Another method is to let the pieces of coal (usually 3 or 4) burn for at least 10 minutes before you start smoking.
This ensures that your smoke will be thick.

Tip: Space the pieces of coal sufficiently apart and, if possible, use a pointed object to make a few holes in the filter. Finally, use square coals rather than round ones.

3. Milk, beer or wine:

Milk, beer or wine can be used in your shisha vessel instead of water. Although these beverages provide different aromas, above all they will make your smoke longer and thicker during your sessions.
Nevertheless, make sure that the quantity of the chosen beverage is less than the water. Excess bubbles will dissipate the smoke, making it thinner and changing the taste of your flavour.

4. Originality

For those looking for authenticity, originality and a better long-term method, El-badia suggests using a heating system that will allow you to regulate the heat properly during your session. Among the most effective, you'll find the complete QUASAR RAAS 2 system, a genuine auto-box for your chicha. Or the famous Kaloud Lotus which is a heating system from the American brand KALOUD. This system will, of course, considerably reduce the amount of ash you produce, as well as producing thick, abundant smoke to make your sessions more unique.
El-Badia offers its own model of combined heating system, the ARC V3, which is easy to use and perfectly affordable.
