WAKER: e-liquid electronic bowl for shisha

WAKER is a brand of e-liquid electronic bowls for shisha: a battery-powered module that sits on the stem of a classic shisha in place of the bowl and charcoal, and vaporises an e-liquid held in a cartridge. The device turns an existing shisha into an electronic shisha, with the usual water filtration and hose. The WAKER electronic bowl

Electric heating module with a built-in 4,000 mAh battery, rechargeable via USB-C port, with LED lighting and a battery and liquid level indicator. The manufacturer claims up to 3 hours of continuous use per charge. The bowl fits most shishas on the market, like a traditional bowl, and takes a WAKER cartridge containing the e-liquid and the mesh coil. It is activated by inhaling. One colour only: Black.

WAKER cartridges

• 10 + 2 ml cartridge: a prefilled 2 ml pod with built-in mesh coil, supplied with a 10 ml refill bottle of the same flavour, in 3 mg/ml nicotine salts. The pod is refilled from the bottle until the coil wears out. Flavours: Mint Ice, My Love, My Lady, Double Mango.
• 20 ml refillable cartridge: empty high-capacity cartridge, to be filled by the user with an e-liquid of their choice. Its capacity restricts it to nicotine-free e-liquids: in France, a tank containing nicotine may not exceed 2 ml.

The cartridges are specific to the WAKER bowl and do not fit any other device.

Use and care

The bowl sits on the shisha stem, with the base filled with water as for a classic session, without charcoal or aluminium foil. The cartridge slots into the bowl; after a fill, wait a few minutes for the coil's cotton to soak. The cartridge is replaced when vapour decreases or the taste deteriorates. The bowl is wiped with a dry cloth once cooled and must not be immersed; the shisha itself is rinsed as normal. At end of life, the bowl and its battery go through the waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) channel; empty cartridges and bottles follow household waste sorting.
