What the battery does

The XKAH Pro runs on a removable battery. The battery powers the device's heating element, whose temperature is set between roughly 175 and 315 °C according to the manufacturer. The XKAH Pro comes with one battery; this product is an additional or replacement battery, sold on its own. The device is presented on the XKAH Pro electronic heating system page.

A second charged battery means the device can keep running while the first one charges. It also replaces an original battery whose capacity has dropped with wear.

Capacity and running time

The nominal capacity is 13,600 mAh. The manufacturer's resellers state a running time of around two hours of heating per charge. That figure varies with the temperature set: the higher it is, the more energy is used. The device's preheating, around eight minutes, is included in that running time.

Charging

The battery charges through a USB-C port. The stated time for a full charge is around 1 hour 30 to 2 hours, with a suitable charger. Several batteries can be charged at the same time on separate chargers or on a multi-port USB-C station.

Fitting

  1. Switch the XKAH Pro off and let it cool down.
  2. Remove the battery in place.
  3. Insert the charged battery until it clicks into place.
  4. Switch the device back on and check the charge indicator.

Built-in protections

According to the manufacturer, the battery automatically cuts off its current output when the temperature drops below -20 °C or rises above 65 °C. These thresholds protect the battery and the device in extreme conditions.

    What’s the difference between a disposable puff and a rechargeable puff?

    Disposable puffs, banned in France since 26 February 2025, were single-use devices. Rechargeable puffs consist of a rechargeable battery and a replaceable or refillable e-liquid reserve.

    A disposable puff combined a non-rechargeable battery with a pre-filled, non-replaceable tank: once either one ran out, the whole device was thrown away. A rechargeable puff separates the two elements.
