The Puff Al Fakher Cubic 30K Crown Bar is a rechargeable electronic cigarette with a refillable pod, from the Crown Bar range, Al Fakher's vaping product line. The kit brings together an 800 mAh battery and a Cubic 30K cartridge, made up of a 2 ml pod with a 0.6 ohm mesh coil and two 10 ml bottles in nicotine salts dosed at 20 mg/ml. The manufacturer states up to 30,000 puffs for the 20 ml supplied.

How it works

The Cubic 30K keeps the electronics and the liquid separate. The battery, in its cube shape, stays in service from one cartridge to the next. The 2 ml pod, the maximum capacity allowed in France for a nicotine-containing tank, attaches to the battery by magnet and is refilled with the cartridge's 10 ml bottles. Once the coil built into the pod is worn out, a new Cubic 30K cartridge replaces the old one.

The 20 ml of a cartridge represent around ten refills of the pod. The estimate of 30,000 puffs covers that total volume; it varies with how long each inhale lasts and with the draw mode.

Battery and display

The built-in 800 mAh battery recharges via USB-C port; the cable is not supplied. Its casing is made of stainless steel and aluminium. The digital display shows the charge level. The device fires on inhale; the button under the display is used only to switch draw mode. The colour of the battery supplied is allocated according to availability.

MTL or DL draw and nicotine

Two air-intake modes are available: MTL (mouth-to-lung), with a tight draw, and DL (direct lung), with an airy draw. The liquid is dosed at 20 mg/ml of nicotine salts (2%), the maximum strength allowed in France. In DL mode, the volume of vapour per puff is larger than in MTL mode, which increases the amount of nicotine inhaled with each puff.

How to use

1. Recharge the battery via USB-C.
2. Fill the pod with a 10 ml bottle up to the mark, then place it on the battery.
3. Let the wick soak up the liquid for a few minutes before the first inhale.
4. Select MTL or DL mode with the button under the display.
5. Refill the pod before it runs empty.
6. Replace the cartridge if a burnt taste appears or the vapour drops off.

Storage and recycling

Store the battery, the pod and the closed bottles away from heat, damp and direct light, out of reach of children and animals. At end of life, the battery goes to a WEEE collection point or a recycling centre. Used pods and empty bottles follow household waste sorting.
