Raas x Cosmobowl Bowl: Ural red clay made for the Quasar Raas

The Raas x Cosmobowl Bowl celebrates the collaboration between Quasar and the Russian maker Cosmobowl, a specialist in red clay bowls. This dense, mineral-rich material offers high heat retention, particularly suited to fans of dark molasses looking for deep, sustained heat. A phunnel bowl built for intense sessions, calibrated for the Quasar Raas heat management system.

Hand-shaped clay fired at 1,100 °C

Cosmobowl shapes its bowls from red clay quarried in the Urals, renowned for its mineral richness and its resistance to very high temperatures. Each piece is formed by hand, then fired at 1,100 °C: the result is a sturdy bowl that stores heat and releases it steadily throughout the session. Cosmobowl bowls are used in professional lounges on the international scene.

Designed for Quasar Raas heat management systems

This bowl is compatible with the Quasar Raas, Quasar Raas 2 and Quasar Raas 2 Black Hole heat management systems. Its dimensions — 85 mm in diameter by 20 mm high — are calibrated to fit the Raas perfectly, with no aluminium foil. Its phunnel shape, with a central spire, stops the juice running down the stem and keeps the molasses intact until the last puffs.

Capacity by type of molasses

The Raas x Cosmobowl holds around 22 g of blonde molasses or 28 g of dark molasses. Dark molasses, being denser, packs more tightly and handles the sustained heat of red clay well; blonde molasses should be packed more loosely for a gentle draw. In both cases, do not go above the rim of the spire.

How to use it

Fill the bowl without packing it down too much, set the Quasar Raas heat management system directly on top and let it come up to temperature for a few minutes before the first puffs. Thanks to the red clay's heat retention, the heat stays stable once the bowl is up and running: no need to overload it with charcoal. After the session, let it cool down completely before washing in lukewarm water; avoid thermal shock.

Who this bowl is for

For fans of dark molasses and powerful sessions who already own a Quasar Raas or Raas 2. For devotees who want a robust, hand-shaped bowl with no frills and no compromise on heat. For shisha bars and lounges looking for a reliable bowl suited to heavy daily use.

El-Badia's tip

Paired with the Quasar Raas 2, the Raas x Cosmobowl delivers a long, steady session: the system's heat regulation and the red clay's thermal inertia complement each other perfectly. For blonde molasses, which is more heat-sensitive, reduce the amount of charcoal slightly. Shisha specialists since 1991 and distributor of the leading international brands, El-Badia selects the bowls and heat management systems that make the difference.

What's the difference between a classic shisha and a premium hookah?
A classic shisha at El-Badia is made for easy everyday use and broad accessibility: affordable, simple setup, durable standard materials (steel, aluminum, acrylic), and a versatile, no-fuss design. These shishas offer smooth sessions and low-maintenance reliability—perfect for beginners and casual lounges alike. Popular models include the Celeste, C5 V2, C7 V2, or XS shisha.

The premium segment showcases exclusive collaborations: Wookah hookahs, Steamulation, Moze, and special editions like luxury shishas.
In short, classic shishas are universal and practical, while premium hookahs are all about innovation, craftsmanship and a truly customized experience for the most demanding enthusiasts.

Which shisha bowl should I choose for my heat system HMD ?

The bowl is chosen according to the heating method used. With an aluminium foil setup, most standard bowls will do: flat bowls, Turkish bowls, phunnel or vortex. With a Provost system, a high-rimmed bowl — phunnel type, or flat with a rim — keeps the setup stable and spreads the heat evenly.

The Kaloud Lotus system requires a compatible bowl, such as the Kaloud Samsaris bowls or a bowl whose rim matches its diameter. Chimney-style systems (Brohood, Dragon, Badcha and others) are used with a Turkish clay bowl or a glass bowl such as the Dschinni Nero Glass, whose material withstands the temperature of the coals.

The Quasar Raas system is used with the Quasar bowls designed for its dimensions, in ceramic or glass depending on the model.

The material also affects how the bowl is used: clay is porous and seasons over time, glass is non-porous and easy to clean, silicone is light and unbreakable. Ceramic, glass, silicone and clay bowls are all in the shisha bowls category.

How to care for your shisha bowl?

Regular maintenance is crucial for keeping your shisha bowl in top shape and ensuring incredible smoke every time. Once your session ends, allow your bowl to cool down before touching it—this prevents thermal shock. Once cool, empty any leftover molasses, then gently clean the bowl with a non-scratch sponge and liquid soap. This method clears molasses residue, tobacco buildup, and lingering odors, no matter if the bowl is made of clay, ceramic, glass, or silicone. For a deeper clean, soak the bowl in warm water with specific cleaner like El-Badia Shisha Cleaner powder or a dash of white vinegar for tough spots. Rinse thoroughly and dry well before the next use.

Avoid rinsing a hot bowl with cold water to prevent cracks. A specialized bowl brush is handy for hard-to-reach spots, and you can find all El-Badia cleaning products for targeted care.

Pro tip: every material needs a little extra attention—never use steel wool on silicone, and use only a soft sponge for glass bowls. Proper care preserves your flavors and guarantees every shisha/hookah session is smooth and hygienic!
